Emerson has not stopped since she started walking! She stopped crawling the day after she started walking and has been keeping me very busy. It is definitely hard keeping up with a toddler all day but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

SHE'S WALKING

Emerson has been taking steps for some time now but did not have the nerve to walk. Well Emerson has found the nerve. She really got brave this past weekend. She wanted a toy across the room & instead of "cruising" her way to the toy she walked over & picked it up. Later that day she was throwing a toy & walking to pick it back up. Monday morning she even walked across the living room into the kitchen. I can already tell that my world is about to be rocked!!!

The above video was taken this afternoon & was the first time this little one has taken steps with so much going on around her.

Well I think I have known what costume I wanted for Emerson since last year. I saw this pig & fell in love. We have been worried Emerson would not wear the hood because she would start crying every time we tried it on. I have been putting it on all of her babies & our heads all week trying to get her excited about wearing her costume. I guess it was a good thing we played with the hood all week because she actually wore it & did not try to take it off once. We went trick or treating with the Pollan's & the Middleton's and had so much fun. Thanks guys for a great night!

Getting ready for Halloween

We have been looking forward to Halloween since last year when Emerson feel a sleep after going to 2 friends houses. We have had fun doing anything with a Halloween theme the last few days. Quentin carved our pumpkin this year & did such a good job. He gets better at doing it every year. Emerson even got her own small pumpkin.

14 months

Since I am behind on posting I am going to post a bunch of pics from the last 2 weeks. Emerson turned 14 months old 2 weeks ago and is becoming such a big girl. She tries to put on her socks, shoes & clothes but isn't quite there yet. She rubs her hands together while I am washing her hands and it makes me laugh every time. Miss Priss is still not walking but is taking a couple steps here & there so we expect her to take off any day now. She talks all of the time and dances anytime she hears music (especially to music in commercials on t.v.). We ordered Emerson a Halloween costume online and it came last week. I have been working with her about wearing the "hood" to the costume. She did not mind wearing bows & hats when she was younger but doesn't really like having things on her head anymore. I have been showing her pictures of other kids in her costume & we have all been wearing it around the house. Stay tuned to see if she actually wears it on Halloween.

Bubble bath

Emerson has taken some baths in my jacuzzi tub lately and tonight we added bubbles. Emerson has been very interested about the "big" tub since the first use. Anytime we are in my bathroom she throws anything she can get her hands on into the tub and likes to turn on the cold water. I remembered to get the camera out to capture this bubble bath and wanted to share them. Please enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

This week

I wanted to make a post but did not have a topic so I just found a couple cute pics taken this past week. The weather has been perfect so Emerson & I have been outside quite a bit. We have started walking again in the mornings and have played outside later in the day. Quentin has been home sick most of the week but sucked it up and played on a blanket in the backyard with us one afternoon.

Emerson is still not walking but has taken a couple steps. She has also started to climb a lot more. She loves getting on & off the couch and trying to get on her kitchen & Roxy. 2 of her top molars are coming in & really seem to be bother her. Also, this baby is now saying 7 or 8 words, learning new animal noises & signing more to get what she wants. She is such a happy baby and I could not ask God for a more perfect angel.

Emerson & Daddy played dress up in Mommy's closet. Doesn't she look like a movie star? All she needs is a large pair of sunglasses.

Ole Miss football

Emerson went with us to the Ole Miss/SE LA game a couple weeks ago. She was wonderful while tailgating and during the game (we did leave early because she got tired & we had a hefty lead). She will not go to all of the games but she will definitely go again this year. She seemed to enjoy the socializing and, of course, being the center of attention.

Emer's baby

We bought Emerson a new baby this week and she is IN LOVE with this doll. Emer actually gets excited when she sees this baby. She has other dolls that she pushes in her stroller and now seems to notice a little more but there is just something about this baby. She wants this new baby by her side at all times. When I took it out of the box she crawled right up to it and kissed it's bald head. I call this doll Emerson's mini me.

Destin, FL

Emerson took her first trip to Destin last month. Of course, we had a blast. Emerson loved the sand & waves but did not like water getting in her face. We ate very well, shopped until we dropped and did a lot of relaxing. We hated to leave but were ready to sleep in our own beds. Enjoy the pics!
