getting ready...

As before mentioned I have a TON of Christmas pics I want to post. I am trying to break them up because, really, I think I have at least 60 & do not want to put them in a slide show. These are the cute shots from before Christmas.

I was also unsuccessful so this is the only Santa we saw this year.

Happy birthday Nanny Fran!

My wonderful grandmother, Nanny, had a big birthday in December. She is now 85 years young! My sweet Aunt Jeanie put together a surprise party her, poodle skirts & all. We had a great time seeing family & friends. Emerson really enjoyed playing with her cousins & the balloons.

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!

excuses, excuses...

I know! I know! I have not forgotten about Christmas! I was going to make a post with all of our Christmas adventures but there are a TON of pics. So, I think I will do multiple posts but I need a little more time to get all of the best pics together. I will work on this over the next couple days. I promise!
Here is a cute pick of my sassy little darling, while you wait for others.
HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Thanksgiving

Well, since Christmas is next week I guess I should blog about Thanksgiving. For some reason I decided to try not using the auto mode on my camera & did not get very many good pictures. I like the idea of not using the "flash of death" but haven't quite got all the rules down for doing so. Here are some of the cute (blurry free) pics I did get...

we made this turkey hat the day before

A little fuzzy but still sweet

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving & is enjoying their Christmas season!

JUMP!

Emerson wants to jump any time she sees our neighbors trampoline. These make me smile because of her WILD hair.
Don't judge her shorts. We had some crazy weather in November which included many 70 degree days.

A Shutterfly Christmas?

With Thanksgiving behind us, the Christmas decorations come out, and holiday traditions begin. One of the things we look forward to is designing our Christmas cards. (Side note: Emerson seems 110% against posing for pictures these days so that should be interesting!!) My NEW favorite place to get cards is Shutterfly.com and right now they are doing a wonderful promotion for bloggers 50 free cards! There were SO many cards that I loved that I don't know what I'm going to do yet. But I will DEFINITELY be getting my cards from there this year. And let’s be honest, we all love the feeling of getting a card in the mailbox that isn't a bill or credit card offer!

The thing I love about Shutterfly is it's not just a place to get prints, or CHRISTmas cards...they seriously have EVERYTHING. You can personalize t-shirts and necklaces, mugs; calendars....pretty much anything for anyone for the Holidays. Although, I'm sure their cards are one of their most popular items.

It's also a great way to store your pictures online. And you can order them and have them delivered to your house or pick them up at Target. Who else loves an excuse to go to Target???

We are looking forward to sending out our cards from Shutterfly as well as receiving cards from family and friends.

I really like the cards with spots for multiple images. Since I can never decide on my favorite shot!! ;-)
