Fun with friends

OK, by now you know the drill. I am a couple weeks behind so I am going to play catch up. I am starting with pics of Emer's visitors.

Thanksgiving

Well, since Christmas is next week I guess I should blog about Thanksgiving. For some reason I decided to try not using the auto mode on my camera & did not get very many good pictures. I like the idea of not using the "flash of death" but haven't quite got all the rules down for doing so. Here are some of the cute (blurry free) pics I did get...

we made this turkey hat the day before

A little fuzzy but still sweet

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving & is enjoying their Christmas season!

JUMP!

Emerson wants to jump any time she sees our neighbors trampoline. These make me smile because of her WILD hair.
Don't judge her shorts. We had some crazy weather in November which included many 70 degree days.

A Shutterfly Christmas?

With Thanksgiving behind us, the Christmas decorations come out, and holiday traditions begin. One of the things we look forward to is designing our Christmas cards. (Side note: Emerson seems 110% against posing for pictures these days so that should be interesting!!) My NEW favorite place to get cards is Shutterfly.com and right now they are doing a wonderful promotion for bloggers 50 free cards! There were SO many cards that I loved that I don't know what I'm going to do yet. But I will DEFINITELY be getting my cards from there this year. And let’s be honest, we all love the feeling of getting a card in the mailbox that isn't a bill or credit card offer!

The thing I love about Shutterfly is it's not just a place to get prints, or CHRISTmas cards...they seriously have EVERYTHING. You can personalize t-shirts and necklaces, mugs; calendars....pretty much anything for anyone for the Holidays. Although, I'm sure their cards are one of their most popular items.

It's also a great way to store your pictures online. And you can order them and have them delivered to your house or pick them up at Target. Who else loves an excuse to go to Target???

We are looking forward to sending out our cards from Shutterfly as well as receiving cards from family and friends.

I really like the cards with spots for multiple images. Since I can never decide on my favorite shot!! ;-)

UL-Lafayette

We were not really looking forward to this football game after the loOong season the Rebels are having & the very chilly temps. We went and had a great time. Unfortunately, because of the temps, we were heading home by half time.

#1! (& the only I got of this)

covered in Peanut stickers from Mrs. Susie

This one was to cute not to post
.
Sadly, this was Emer's last game for the year. We have had a wonderful season with this little lady. She is a delight to be around and easy to deal with, especially if someone has stickers or chocolate.
.
Happy Turkey Week!

Q is 30!

Quentin turned 30 a couple weeks ago & I could not have been happier to pick on him & make him feel old. He has been making me feel old for almost 3 years now & it is time for pay back. Quentin was having a really busy time at work & could not take the day off so Emer & I went to Memphis & "ballooned" his car. That night we ate at Texas de Brazil. Quentin and Emerson are HUGE steak fans & were in heaven. Emerson was a perfect little lady at dinner. We could not have asked for her to behave any better. Q & I ended the night with YUMMY gingerbread cupcakes from AnnOlivia's in Hernando. Don't worry, Emer got hers the next day.

I got a couple cute shots while trying to take a picture of Emer with her Daddy on his birthday.

enjoying her cupcake

really enjoying her cupcake!

riding out her sugar high after the cupcake

I realize I have slacked on the blog the last couple weeks . I just haven't been in the blogging mood. I do know that pics are better than nothing so I have been getting some cute pics together & will get those up in the next few days.

Tailgaters of the week

Every week a group of tailgaters are picked and a photo is put up on the jumbo tron. Well, this week as I look up I notice it is a picture of our group. The picture was taken at the Kentucky game. Below is the actual shot.
