Oh! How sweet it is to stay home with my lovely daughter every single day! We have so much fun. Emerson is really getting into creative things and I like creative things. The below pictures were randoms from last month that I think deserve to be seen.

Mid-South Fair

I can not explain how excited I was last year when they moved the fair to our "backyard" but we didn't end up getting to go so I made sure we went this year. Q took a half day & we really enjoyed getting to go during the day when it was not crowded. Emerson liked the petting zoo, pig races & rides. The weather could not have been more perfect but the food was not as good as I remember from the past. Maybe now I just realize how bad all that food is for me!

Disney on Ice

Minnie Mouse is the bees knees around the Boyd house these days. Disney on Ice came to Memphis last month so we went to see Minnie. As expected, Emerson had a great time. She was mesmerized by the show. The pictures are not great but I wanted to make a post so she can easily look back some day.

Fresno State

We did go to the Vandy game but did not tailgate. Q worked really late the night before and had also not felt well. We were well rested the next week for the Fresno State game.

This girl takes full advantage of the tailgating spread. She munches all day and does not miss her chance to eat junk. She samples all of the cookies, chips & candies. Fruit is also a favorite. Sometimes we can get her to eat a fried chicken tender. Oh well, it is what it is. At least she behaves.

Emerson has been obsessed with Croc's for a while. She found these shoes in my closet and had to walk through the house wearing them. She already loves shoes!!

season opener

The only bright spot about the Ole Miss season opener against Jacksonville State was that Emerson was a perfect angel the WHOLE day. She is becoming quite the little social butterfly.

That is all I have to say about that day. Maybe I will have more to say tomorrow. ;-)

Mermaid

Or "marma" as Emerson says. We found these super cute barrettes in Hawaii and even though she has now picked off the flower in her hair (there was once one on her wrist too), her swirly top & finally her tail, she loves her mermaid. We do have another one but I am thinking maybe we should leave that one put up for a little longer.

These are just a few cute pictures that have been taken the last couple weeks. Emerson loves singing, dancing, animals & anything to do with art (coloring, painting and using chalk.)
She is very sweet 95% of the time and usually just tired the other 5%. Playing on Mommy & Daddy's bed is also something Emerson likes to do.

She found some ear buds and wanted to listen to Lady Gaga.
