Ella's second

Our sweet neighbor Ella turned 2 a week after Emerson. They had the party in their backyard and we had a great time. All the kids enjoyed playing in the water, sand, bubbles and, of course, eating cupcakes & ice cream.

She was to small to climb the slide so Mr. Ricky held her up & let her slide.

Emerson & Caroline playing in the sandbox. Emer's favorite part of the party! After the party we took Emer home, gave her a bath & went to dinner. Then after dinner we walked back next door & before we could stop her Emer was back in the sandbox, in her dress!! Sorry, no pictures of that.

Meet the Rebels

A couple weeks ago we had a busy Saturday that started with a trip to Oxford for Meet the Rebels. We enjoyed visiting with friends, meeting some of the players and are very excited for the start of football season this weekend!

SUPERSTAR!

Emerson was wonderful while waiting to see the players! She just played with the goodies packed in her backpack.

Heading to Ella's party (yes, that will be the next post)

2nd birthday party

The zoo is one of Emerson's favorite places to be so we decided to have her birthday party there. The room has an animal theme and a neat mural on every wall. We stuck with the theme and made animal cupcakes & cake pops. We started the party with a puppet craft for the kids and enjoyed a lot of sugary treats. Even though it was 100+ degrees outside & about 85 degrees in the "monkey room" all of the kids seem to enjoy there selves. I know Emerson did.
I was HORRIBLE at taking pictures at the party. Most of the good shots where captured by Emerson's Uncle Kale & soon-to-be Aunt Anna Lauren. We didn't even get a family shot!! I can't believe I did not even think about that until 2 days later! I did take a couple cute pics of the Middleton's.

Thank you to everyone who came & helped use celebrate Emerson's big day!!!

2 years old

We let Emerson open one gift after breakfast, an Olivia toy.

Looking at the lions at the zoo. SO HOT!

She liked the bell on the boat but would not let us buckle her in to ride.

"cheese"
Oh how I hate this picture is fuzzy!

They might have actually been melting in this picture! It was so hot & humid that morning. We were ready to leave the zoo & head to air conditioning at....

Chuck E. Cheese!!!

not sure what to do first

She loved this bee game. The object is to catch the striped balls & put them in the honey pot.

None of us were good at this game. I think I got bopped on the head by an acorn every time (you were supposed to avoid the acorns).

She is so my daughter, loving her jeep ride while wearing her pink tutu.

A very sweet lady that works with Q made Emer this dress & I added the tutu. Every girl needs a tutu on her 2nd birthday!

Happy birthday baby girl!

She only eats the icing.

A cute picture before presents.

OK, I couldn't decide which pic was cutest. Did you notice her lips in the 2 pics above? LOVE HER!

Excited about her backpack.

Emer's daddy knew she would love the stroller.

Dressing up in her Olivia outfit.
As you may have noticed above we started the day at the zoo. We went early but it was still very hot so we only stayed about 45 minutes. We are member so it is easy just to "pop" by and Emerson likes the animals. For lunch we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Emerson had never been and, of course, loved it. After playing a few hours we went home to eat cupcakes and open gifts. For dinner Quentin cooked steak on the grill (Emerson's favorite). She is getting so big. It really is neat getting to see the world through her eyes. She is such a sweet girl and we are very blessed.
