Here are some pics I took of Quentin and Emerson playing outside this afternoon.

A' Fair

Saturday we went to the Hernando square for A' Fair. We enjoy seeing all of our friends and watching all of the people. Emerson likes being in her stroller and loves being outside so she had a blast. The Ole Miss baseball team played that afternoon so we had to deck her out in her red and blue. Her dress was blue and you really could not tell it was a dress when she was sitting in the stroller. Needless to say, she got called a he about 5 times before we found a tent selling bows. We then started looking for a bow that would stay in what little hair she has. Then we met the nicest lady who made us take a red bow and told us to just keep putting it back in her hair every time it fell out. The lady would not take our money but told us to buy more bows from her when Emerson gets more hair. We will be purchasing many more bows from http://www.cjsbows.com/ in the future. We love our little (but growing) town.
Doesn't she look adorable in the bow that would only stay in the little bit of hair she has on the center of her head?

She was out after a busy morning.

9 months old

I teared up tonight as I downloaded these pics to my laptop and looked through older pictures of Emerson. She has grown and changed so much in the last 9 months. I love her more and more everyday. She is so sweet. She is playing patty cake, saying "mama", and clicking her tongue. It cracks me up watching her play on the floor. She crawls around playing with her toys and I just can't believe she wasn't even rolling over 6 months ago. She has changed my life in so many ways. What did Quentin and I do before this angel arrived?Saturday, May 9, 2009
She's crawling!!
Emerson decided she was ready to start crawling Thursday while we were playing @ Ashley & Ella's house. She is not moving very quickly but she can now get to that toy she just threw across the room. Thanks Ella for showing Emerson how to get a around.
Emerson now has 5 teeth and is waiting on one to break the skin any day now. She doesn't do to bad when teething but usually has a clingy day just before they appear. I don't have any pictures of all 5 teeth but will post one if I can get one later.
Here are some pictures from the last week.

Emer's first vacation
We were so excited to get to go on Emerson's first vacation, especially since Quentin had been sick. We were worried about Emerson flying but she was wonderful!!! She was happy just hanging out & playing in our laps on the flights. She did start getting more teeth the day before we left but she was only a "hand full" that one day while on vacation. The island was beautiful. We are looking forward to future trips to the other islands.

HAPPY EASTER

We had a fun filled day of Easter activities at Cedar Hill farms here in Hernando. We saw the animals at the petting zoo, rode a train, met the Easter bunny and even got to collect eggs. We met up with the Pollan's and enjoyed meeting some of their friends. We are looking forward the Cedar Hill's pumpkin patch in the fall.

Getting ready for Easter

Can you tell I could not narrow down my favorite picture to post? Thank you to our friends, Ashley and Ella, for these cute bunny ears. We have been telling Emerson about the Easter bunny and the real reason for Easter, Jesus. You can never start too early, right? We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Easter weekend.

ZOO TRIP
**********************************************

The meerkat came right up to Emerson in her stroller
**********************************************

Quentin took a vacation day Monday and we took Emerson to the Memphis Zoo for the first time. Emerson liked the loud monkeys and the big cats (she was probably looking for Roxy). It was a little cooler outside than we expected but made due. We had a blast and will definitely go back.

Saint Patrick's Day
The weather Tuesday was warm and sunny so we spent the day outside with our friends Ashley and Ella. Emerson loves playing outside and so does Mommy. She really liked Ella's Exersaucer (above pic).

Swinging is so relaxing, it seems to put Emerson to sleep every time......

7 months old

I cannot believe 7 months have passed since Emerson was born. It has been some of the best months of my life. I am truly blessed to have such a loving, happy and usually laid back daughter. She is such a joy to Quentin and I.
The temperature dropped keeping us inside all day. We did make the most of being indoors and had plenty of tummy time. Emerson wants to move but hasn't quite figured it out, yet. She is scooting back a little. I know she will be unstoppable before long.

First trip to Oxford

Since we also had beautiful weather Saturday we decided to take Emerson for her first trip to Oxford, MS. We started out by going to the Ole Miss/Vermont baseball game, then hung out in the Grove and finished the day with sushi. We had a fantastic day and can not wait for many more days like this to come. Hotty Toddy!!
