Emerson's 1st Easter

The Easter bunny made a stop by our house last night and left Emerson a basket with bath toys, bubbles, a book and a bunny stuffed animal. I think she liked the plastic grass and eggs the best but she also liked her bunny. Maybe she will be able to hunt eggs next year.

8 months

Miss Emerson turned 8 months old Saturday and we spent the day playing outside while Daddy worked in the yard. I know I say this every month but I can not believe how big she is getting. We are truly blessed to have this beautiful baby girl in our life.

HAPPY EASTER

We had a fun filled day of Easter activities at Cedar Hill farms here in Hernando. We saw the animals at the petting zoo, rode a train, met the Easter bunny and even got to collect eggs. We met up with the Pollan's and enjoyed meeting some of their friends. We are looking forward the Cedar Hill's pumpkin patch in the fall.

Getting ready for Easter

Can you tell I could not narrow down my favorite picture to post? Thank you to our friends, Ashley and Ella, for these cute bunny ears. We have been telling Emerson about the Easter bunny and the real reason for Easter, Jesus. You can never start too early, right? We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Easter weekend.

ZOO TRIP

Quentin took a vacation day Monday and we took Emerson to the Memphis Zoo for the first time. Emerson liked the loud monkeys and the big cats (she was probably looking for Roxy). It was a little cooler outside than we expected but made due. We had a blast and will definitely go back.

Saint Patrick's Day

The weather Tuesday was warm and sunny so we spent the day outside with our friends Ashley and Ella. Emerson loves playing outside and so does Mommy. She really liked Ella's Exersaucer (above pic).

Swinging is so relaxing, it seems to put Emerson to sleep every time......

7 months old

I cannot believe 7 months have passed since Emerson was born. It has been some of the best months of my life. I am truly blessed to have such a loving, happy and usually laid back daughter. She is such a joy to Quentin and I.

The temperature dropped keeping us inside all day. We did make the most of being indoors and had plenty of tummy time. Emerson wants to move but hasn't quite figured it out, yet. She is scooting back a little. I know she will be unstoppable before long.

First trip to Oxford

Since we also had beautiful weather Saturday we decided to take Emerson for her first trip to Oxford, MS. We started out by going to the Ole Miss/Vermont baseball game, then hung out in the Grove and finished the day with sushi. We had a fantastic day and can not wait for many more days like this to come. Hotty Toddy!!

The weather Friday was very nice but also very windy. Emerson & I took this as an opportunity to play outside. This was the first time Emerson has really played outside. She loved every minute of it.

Teeffies

Emerson has been drooling like a mad woman for a couple months now so we knew the teeth were coming. Well, they decided to come through a couple weeks ago. For your viewing pleasure I posted a couple pictures that show here 2 tiny teeth (double click on the picture to get a better look). Needless to say, she is chewing on everything. This baby doll seems to be her favorite "teether."

Sitting pretty

Emerson has been sitting up for a couple weeks now and gets better at it everyday. So, today we had a blast playing around with the camera Quentin gave me for Christmas. Emerson is so patient with my picture taking obsession but definitely let's me know when she has had enough. Also, as you can see, Emerson & Roxy have become best buds. Roxy can not enter the room without Emerson stopping what she is doing to watch the dog. They are so cute together. We were a little worried about how Roxy would perceive Emerson but was relieved to see how great Roxy is with her. All is good.

I am having trouble uploading pictures but am getting help from Ashley tomorrow....
